In 2023, Meritain Health® proudly stands as one of the nation’s largest third-party administrators (TPAs).
Now a subsidiary of Aetna® and Fortune 4 company CVS Health®, we’re able to help more customers reach their self-funded goals. We also support 1.5 million members, helping them live healthier lives—just as we’ve done since 1983.
A look back through the years
Forty years ago, we started as North American Health Plans. In 2006, we changed our name to Meritain Health, becoming the TPA you know today. Under this new identity, we were able to further embrace our commitment to excellence and dedication to our customers.
In 2011, we became a subsidiary of Aetna® and later joined the CVS Health® family in 2018. During this time, we surpassed one million members and joined forces to create TPA & Payer Solutions.
Today, we offer one-of-a-kind access to carrier-level networks, 1.6 million quality health care providers, pharmacy benefits, discounts and uniquely valuable resources.
